A few years ago, when we were visiting PA for the summer, I frequented a little Amish grocery store on a back road in Ronks, near my in-laws, where we usually live when in PA. One day, we pulled into the drive (they don't have a parking lot), and there was a horse and buggy hitched to the hitching post (hitching post but no parking lot, go figure!)

Ariana (4 or 5 at the time) is suddenly excited. "Look, Mom, a dinosaur!" What? Oh, she's looking at the HORSE! Oh dear... I guess it comes from having brothers (then ages 8 and 10) who are a whole lot more fascinated with dinosaurs than horses!

Hmmmm........

Last week, Ty (now 4) walked with me to the grocery store several blocks from our house. On the way home, we passed a horse munching the tall grasses in an empty lot beside the road. Ty exclaims, "Look Mom, there's a ... oh ... what is it? ... a giraffe?"!!!

Ahhh..... it's lovely to be a mom.....
